Making an effort to return to AM3 after a bit of an absence, it's really nice to see photo's from all contributors and I will try to comment when I can. If I offer criticism I do so only to help and I do not wish to cause offence. My photography tends to be from my travels, as well as my passion which is wildlife and landscape. I hope you enjoy what you see.
Thanks for your comments I'm really grateful for them and welcome constructive feedback.

Jeff & Pat from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

Class shot Doug, it's been a long time since Pat and I where there, is the swimming pool still on the beach ???. ;>)

22 Jan 2015 7:02pm

@Jeff & Pat: Thanks Jeff. The old pool which started out as Weston Lido and then was converted to the Tropicana has unfortunately been neglected and is now all boarded up, thanks to poor decisions by the town council. A shame really I remember having some fun times in there as a kid and I believe it was also the place where Diana Dors was discovered too.

Adela Fonts from Barcelona, Spain

Awesome! I love it! the light is stunning! Best, Adela

Shiva from Berwick, Canada

Excellent BW shot, Doug --- if this a "tidal pool" that means --- water going in and out - so what I see is not a harbour.Beautiful lights on the water.
Kindest regards and a nice evening Monika

22 Jan 2015 7:42pm

@Shiva: Thanks Monika, it's filled by the tide which is good for Weston as the Bristol Channel is reported to have the second highest rise and fall of tide in the world, so when the tide goes out the sea is too far away and across some very dangerous mud flats

Philnz from Ngatea, New Zealand

Nice composition, works well in black and white.
