Nothing is more silly and British than Morris Dancers and here are the men and ladies for the Taunton Vale Morris Dancers in Taunton High Street, raising money for a local cancer charity as Christmas shoppers enjoy their display. Happy Silly Tuesday

Please excuse me if I don't get to comment people's images some days but I've had to return to a work life rather than become a pensioner as I had planned due cost of living and the tax man wanting a lump of my pension. I am making an effort to return to AM3 after a bit of an absence, it's really nice to see photo's from all contributors and I will try to comment when I can. If I offer criticism I do so only to help and I do not wish to cause offence. My photography tends to be from my travels, as well as my passion which is wildlife and landscape. I hope you enjoy what you see.

Fantastic street scene Doug! The color and light is wonderful and the view is fabulous. Besides the handsome dancers I spotted a "Clarks" on the corner. :)

What a fun shot, Doug! I really like this....Not far from Easton Pennsylvania, where we live, Philadelphia (50 miles south) has had what they call a "Mummer's Parade" for years...Guys and Gals dress up in wacky and insame costumes...and fabricate floats ranging from the rediculous to the funny and put on a parade to raise funds nor various charitable organizations. Trouble is, that thing (the parade) goes on for HOURS and is almost painful to withstand after about one hour of the craziness.... But this is a fun looking group yoou have here.. I say this with all sincerity, when i say that the UK side of the pond probably does this sort of thing WAY better and more imaginatively than ours does!...We go WAY too far overboard, I think. I know nothing about the Morris Dancers, but your image is interesting.
The 'Clarks' sign in the background is very familiar ... both for shoes and our name.
