Rafting on the Bishops Moat

Posted by
Doug (Burnham-on-Sea, United Kingdom) on 10 September 2013 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

A few weeks ago a team from where I work entered the annual raft race on the Bishops Palace Moat in Wells, while I was being rested and drying a little I managed to get a few shots. The idiots in red are our raft and we all had a brilliant time making money for local charities and getting very wet, we collected money for a mental health charity based in Wells called Heads Up.

Making an effort to return to AM3 after a bit of an absence, it's really nice to see photo's from all contributors and I will try to comment when I can. If I offer criticism I do so only to help and I do not wish to cause offence. My photography tends to be from my travels, as well as my passion which is wildlife and landscape. I hope you enjoy what you see.
Thanks for your comments I'm really grateful for them and welcome constructive feedback.

A great photo for ST, the most important is to have fun and in this case earn money for charity.
Happy ST. Have a nice day.

Silly boy, fancy abandoning ship straight after the start, did he have no confidence in his shipmates?

10 Sep 2013 7:25am

@Curly: It was a start finish line and three of their six crew decided to abandon ship to celebrate loosing to us for the forth time, so I think you have it right ;-))

A fine action shot of the teams enjoying the competition and chance to make money for this worthwhile charity. The person diving overboard was caught at the right moment.
