Please excuse me if I don't get to comment people's images some days but I've had to return to a work life rather than become a pensioner as I had planned due cost of living and the tax man wanting a lump of my pension. I am making an effort to return to AM3 after a bit of an absence, it's really nice to see photo's from all contributors and I will try to comment when I can. If I offer criticism I do so only to help and I do not wish to cause offence. My photography tends to be from my travels, as well as my passion which is wildlife and landscape. I hope you enjoy what you see.
Thanks for your comments I'm really grateful for them and welcome constructive feedback.

Just like a scene from the TV series, I recognise the little houses on the hill. Good to see the boat from a different angle.

18 Mar 2013 7:51am

@kiwisa: Doc Martin's house is just up the hill on the right, although you can't go in it gets lots of visitors walking up to it

There is always something sad about a boat left grounded as the tide goes out! Nicely captured Doug! ;-)

Great dof taking me off to that house in the distance..... looks like a bit of a soggy situation there. The boat is in tiptop shape, nice colours and detail Doug... I like!

love these boat shots, amazing the condition underneath, must take a lot of work to maintain as they are permanently stuck in salt water.

Great POV with the brightly colored boat in the foreground. I like how the rope in the back of the boat leads the eye right to the middle of the town.

Your pov is excellent here, Doug!

Jeff from Pembroke Dock, United Kingdom

For one fleeting moment I thought it was a wheeless chariot, but no !, it's a cracking shot of a little boat bursting to get back to sea again, nice one Doug . ;>)

18 Mar 2013 3:58pm

@Jeff: It's not even a low swinging chariot, thanks Jeff :-))

Denny Jump Photo from Easton, PA, United States

Very cool :-) That tide really has a great variance between high tide and low tide doesn't it? I think you mentioned the difference but now I need to go back and look :-) Wonderful perspective here :-)

CElliottUK from Reading, United Kingdom

That boat is really well cared for, not a barnacle in sight, and squeaky clean

Christine from Ellemford, United Kingdom

I like the POV in this too

18 Mar 2013 5:02pm

Nice shot. A boat always looks a little sad when it is out of the water.

Judy aka L@dybug from Brooksville, FL, United States

This is a wonderful image, Doug ... the 'tilt' of the boat adds interest to the shot. It would be fun to see the boat righting itself as the tide comes in. *smile*
