I took a couple of shots of this guy some months ago when I was up early one morning on the seafront watching them crane the boats back for the summer.

Making an effort to return to AM3 after a bit of an absence, it's really nice to see photo's from all contributors and I will try to comment when I can. If I offer criticism I do so only to help and I do not wish to cause offence. My photography tends to be from my travels, as well as my passion which is wildlife and landscape. I hope you enjoy what you see.
Thanks for your comments I'm really grateful for them and welcome constructive feedback.

I like the perspective you captured. The bright orange hat first caught my attention. Then I began to notice all of the details - the second hat under the hardhat, the expression on his face, etc. Very nice portrait.

Touches my heart, this seasoned old fellow, wearing the helmet because it is required but showing his real spirit self beneath with so many decades of life having aged his form, he keeps on keeping on, squinting into the deathless sun.
